Join the movement

With the construction industry and world experiencing widespread levels of anxiety, and isolation, and finding ways to adjust to new social distancing measures, taking care of your wellbeing and mental health is more important than ever.

In support of World Mental Health day (10 Oct 2020), ISG will be taking part in a five-day global move challenge from 12-16 October 2020.

Run, walk, cycle or swim; the aim of the virtual challenge is to travel the longest distance possible across the globe to raise vital funds and awareness for our UK charity partner, Mental Health UK.

Sign up in three easy steps:

Step 1 - Sign up

Whether you’re looking to tackle a big cycle or run, or simply just want to get yourself moving, all you need to sign up is a £20 donation.

Your registration includes a technical eco t-shirt, which will be mailed to you.

Step 2 - Choose how you move and start fundraising

You will need to set up a JustGiving page to track your miles.

If you’d like to raise even more funds for Mental Health UK, share your JustGiving page with friends, family, and your colleagues who can sponsor you, keep track of your progress and help you reach your goal.

NB: We encourage additional fundraising; however, your £20 donation covers your entry and you do not need to raise further funds.

Step 3 - Start moving

To help track your activities and distance, download the Strava app on your smartphone or connect Strava to your fitness watch to automatically log your activities. Or you can manually enter your miles.

Connect Strava to your JustGiving fundraising page to ensure your activity is tracked.

How your fundraising efforts can support those affected by mental health problems:

A donation of just £20 could help Mental Health UK recruit three volunteers to help moderate their online peer support platform, Clic, so members feel welcomed, listened to and supported throughout their sessions.

A fundraising total of £1,500 would be enough for Mental Health UK to host two live Q&A sessions where members receive advice directly from experts on their mental health, lifestyle, and wellbeing.

£20,000 would help Mental Health UK moderate Clic’s online platform for three months, so mental health experts can ensure all members feel connected, safe, secure, and supported for longer.

Last year's event

300 riders, over 18,000 miles ridden and 560 metres of lycra worn were the numbers behind the incredible £34,000 that was raised during Cycle for Charity 2019 to provide vital funds and awareness for our UK charity partner, Mental Health UK.

Check out our 2019 video to find out how we got on.
